Duties Summary BLM is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join the team to serve as an Administrative Officer in the Montana State Office, Western District Office, Division of Support Services, Butte, Montana. Responsibilities This position manages the administrative and business operations of the Western Montana District organization serving as the principal advisor and management consultant to the District Manager, Field Managers, Assistant Field Managers, and administrative staff across the District. The District encompasses more than 200 employees depending on the time of year (130 PFT +/-). The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following: Supervising and directing the work of a staff of specialists, technicians, and clerks engaged in administrative functions (payroll and timekeeping, bill of collection, internal controls and audits, travel, human resource management, acquisition and property management, and budget and financial management). Personally performing some of the functional areas of administration. Advising managers regarding agency policies, decisions, and action in the areas of budgeting and financial management, administrative services, planning, human resource management, acquisition, and property management, agreements and information management. Programming and annual budget submissions and ensuring program accomplishments are within budget allocations.
